Where to be Saturday morning.
Every Thursday the forecast locks in: front direction, moon phase, rut-phase (where relevant), and what the ProGuide playbook says about this specific weather window. Read it, then pick a tournament, then sit the tree that stacks all three signals.

The four variables
- Front direction. Bucks daylight on north-wind pushes after a cold front. South winds deep in the week mean you're probably looking at late morning bed-to-food movement only.
- Rut phase. Pre-rut scrapes, chase week, lockdown, post-rut — each phase demands a different stand. Bookmark Kent Cullum's seasonal playbook below.
- Moon position. Over-rotated as a predictor; underrated as a scheduler. Bucks move in the last 60 minutes of daylight on dark evenings and through midday on bright ones.
- Pressure. Your own pressure. Three sits in the same tree is the ceiling. If you've burned two, pick a new one this weekend.
Kent Cullum's cold-front rule
"When a cold front drops temps 15+ degrees overnight, try being in the stand by 1:00 PM, not 3:00 PM — because the afternoon movement fires earlier under a barometric push, and I've killed more bucks between 2:15 and 4:00 on cold-front afternoons than any other window."
